For those of us who are veterans to Fried Pickles, we can always remember the first time we tried this delicious treat. It usually started with a reluctant face and ended with an empty bowl. Trust us – if you haven’t tried it already, you need to make some now!
The first part of making this treat (maybe some would even consider it an American delicacy) is making the pickle. We made bread and butter pickles earlier this summer. They aren’t always everyone’s first choice when making deep fried pickles, but we love the sweet and savory combo.
Dry your pickles with a paper towel until little to no moisture is leaving the pickle. Then dredge them in flour. Make sure your oil is hot enough for the pickles to get crispy. After they are golden brown, remove them and place on paper towels. Do not stack until you’re ready to serve. Enjoy!
