If luring your little people to the dinner table on Halloween night is a challenge, then this dish is for you. Spookghetti and Octopus Hot Dogs are a meal that even the most intense trick-or-treater will pause for.
Simply color your noodles with your choice of food coloring, while the noodles are cooking. Toss in a little olive oil and top with cheese or sauce, whichever will entice your little goblins.
The hot dogs take only a moment to prepare, leaving you plenty of time to help your toddler who has switched costumes five times already today.
Halloween Spookghetti with Hot Dog Octopus
Ingredients
- 1 package spaghetti noodles (or any other type of noodle)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Americolor Food Coloring Americolor Food Coloring (we used Electric Purple)

Directions
- Prepare your noodles according to the package directions.
- While the water is boiling and the noodles are cooking, add the food coloring. You may need to adjust your amount depending on your desired color.
- Toss your noodles with a little olive oil or top with cheese and sauce.
- Preheat the oven to 350*.
- Using a sharp paring knife, cut your hot dogs in half.
- Now cut the tentacles in the hot dog. You'll do this by cutting four long slits 2/3 the length of the hot dog.
- Place the hot dogs on a greased baking sheet. Spread the tentacles out to help it stand up.
- Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, until they are starting to brown.
- Place atop your Spookghetti and enjoy!!!!
