Most grocery stores offer two colors of popcorn seed – white or yellow! They have slight differences, but both of these seeds pop into a shape resembling a snowflake or a butterfly. This popcorn has arms that are easily broken, making for a tender snack, but not ideal for adding toppings.
Our favorite mushroom seed pops into a rounded shape, which proves to be much sturdier. This makes it ideal for coating in caramel, chocolate, candy, or seasonings. It has a bit more chew to the popcorn, so it holds up well to any topping.
